Recently, OnePlus apologized and confirmed that the OnePlus 12R uses the UFS 3.1 storage system on all variants.
However, it was too late for this revelation as interested consumers had already ordered their units.
Now, OnePlus President and COO Kinder Liu has confirmed that the company is offering a full refund to the OnePlus 12R owners in case they are not satisfied with the UFS 3.1.
To recap, the OnePlus 12R comes in 128GB and 256GB storage variants.
Only the 16GB + 256GB RAM and storage configuration was advertised to feature a UFS 4.0 storage system
It packs faster read/write speeds, faster performance, and app loading speeds compared to the UFS 3.1.
In an official community forum post,
Liu has revealed that those who purchased the OnePlus 12R 256GB model are eligible for a full refund if they are not satisfied.
Owners need to contact the customer service teams who are said to be fully briefed on the situation.
